Arrival at Kilimanjaro airport and drive to Arusha: Distance: 57Km | Travel Time: 1 hour.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you may be fortunate to catch a breathtaking view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest peak in Africa. Our friendly transfer team will warmly welcome you and escort you to your accommodation located on the serene outskirts of Arusha Town. Here, you can unwind in the comfort of your spacious room or take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, offering the perfect opportunity to relax and rejuvenate after your journey.




Day 1: Arusha National Park
After a hearty breakfast, depart early for Arusha National Park, a haven for bird enthusiasts. The park’s diverse habitats, from montane forests to open grasslands, provide excellent birdwatching opportunities. Among the birds you may encounter are the Crowned Hawk-Eagle, Cinnamon-chested Bee-eater, and the melodious Rüppel’s Robin-Chat. Spend the day exploring and photographing the incredible birdlife of Arusha National Park.
Night: Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay near Arusha.







Day 2, 3, and 4: Tarangire National Park
Early in the morning, travel to Tarangire National Park, known for its iconic Baobab trees and abundant elephant herds. With over 350 bird species, the park offers exceptional opportunities for bird photography, including the vibrant Yellow-collared Lovebird and various raptors. Alongside your birding adventures, you’ll also have the chance to photograph large wildlife like elephants and big cats, providing a perfect balance of nature and adventure. Spend three days exploring and capturing the beauty of Tarangire’s landscapes and birdlife.
Night: Overnight stays within Tarangire National Park.
Day 5: Lake Manyara & Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, head to Lake Manyara, a stunning soda lake nestled in the Rift Valley. Known for its large population of flamingos feeding in the alkaline waters, the lake is also home to a variety of other bird species, including waterbirds, songbirds, and more. After birding around the lake, continue to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a wildlife photographer’s paradise. Explore the rich birdlife and dramatic landscapes as you drive down into the crater.
Night: Overnight stay on the Ngorongoro Crater Rim.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
Today, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the best places in Africa to observe wildlife and birds. The unique ecosystem is home to a variety of species, including flamingos, vultures, and storks. With the breathtaking crater walls as a backdrop, you’ll have ample opportunities to photograph both wildlife and birds in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. You may also spot iconic wildlife like African Lions, Black Rhinos, and wildebeests.
Night: Overnight at a lodge on the Ngorongoro Crater Rim.
Day 7, 8, and 9: Serengeti National Park
Next, journey to Serengeti National Park, one of the world’s most famous wildlife destinations. Over the next three days, explore the park’s vast plains, savannahs, and the legendary Kopjes, where many birds nest. The Serengeti is not only known for its exceptional birdlife, including Secretary Birds and Lilac-breasted Rollers, but also for its incredible wildlife like Leopards, Cape Buffalos, and the iconic Great Migration. You’ll get to photograph both the birds and the incredible action of the wildebeest migration.
Night: Enjoy your stay at lodges in the heart of the Serengeti.
Day 10: Serengeti National Park to Arusha
On the final day, enjoy a relaxing game drive as you make your way back to Arusha. Along the way, you’ll have a chance to capture any bird species you may have missed earlier in the tour, particularly in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. In the afternoon, we’ll transfer you to Arusha Airport for your flight home, concluding your extraordinary Tanzania Birds Photography Tour.
