This 5 days Tanzania Accessible holiday will take you to the great parks of Tanzania, Tarangire and Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater offer a unique and overwhelming wildlife safari experience that is simply unequaled with a very slow pace and relaxation in mind. The crater is home to over 20,000 large animals including some of Tanzania's last remaining black rhinos. Tarangire's open Savannah with its primeval baobab trees is filled with roaming herds of elephants and an impressive array of predators, as well as uniqueness of tree climbing lions of Lake Manyara. At last Enjoy tribal encounters with the Maasai or the nomadic Bushman, which are truly unforgettable experiences.

Day 0: Arrival Day:

On arrival to Kilimanjaro International Airport, our dedicated Accessible safari Guest Representative welcomes our guests to Tanzania. Each guest is chauffeured to Arusha at Mount Meru Hotel, one hour’s drive from Kilimanjaro itself. You will enjoy time to relax on the pool or surrounding.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park - Afternoon Game drive

  • Distance: 140Km (3h 30min drive).
  • Overnight:  Tarangire Sopa Lodge.
  • Meal Plan: Full Board.

Depending on your choice you will wake up around 8 am, having a breakfast and leave for short visit to Maasai market in Arusha, then start our drive to Tarangire National park, arriving there at the time of lunch at the lodge, having lunch then starts our fascinating game-drive through the famed Tarangire National Park, home to the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania. Tarangire is a dramatically beautiful and diverse ecosystem, boasting one of the largest concentrations of elephant in East Africa. These mobs of elephant are easily encountered, wet or dry. The swamps, tinged green year round, are the focus for 550 bird varieties, the most breeding species in one habitat anywhere in the world. Later during sunset we will drive back to lodge for your shower and rest.

Day 3: Half Day Game Drive at Tarangire National Park:

  • Distance: 158Km (3h 53min drive).
  • Overnight:  Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.
  • Meal Plan: Full Board.

Today after breakfast we will leave the lodge for the morning game drive at Tarangire National Park until lunch time where we will eat at picnic site, after lunch with en-route game drive we will leave the park and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater rim, here you will have chance to experience the beautiful vegetation of Ngorongoro conservation area, visiting Maasai Boma and later drive to Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight. The view is rivalled only by the wildlife spectacle that awaits on the floor of the crater, including the Big 5. The result of a volcanic eruption 2-3 Million years ago, the caldera floor covers 64,000 acres and encompasses open grassy plains, acacia thickets, riverine forest, and fresh and soda lakes.

Day 4: Full Day Game Drive at Ngorongoro Crater Floor:

After breakfast at the lodge, we depart to Ngorongoro Crater floor, where we will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife for a full day’s safari tour. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here. After a half day game drive inside ngorongoro Crater we will descend outside the crater and drive back to Arusha. After a full day game drive inside ngorongoro Crater as per your will and readiness we will leave the crater and return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Conservation area to Arusha:

After a leisurely breakfast, our accessible safari guide once again will take to you to the road onward  to Arusha. During this 3-hour drive you will be able to see, the ever-changing landscape of the bush and the mountainous topography that reminds all who see it of Tanzania’s geological. On arrival at Arusha, guests will be transferred to our office and will relax and freshen and be offered special local meal and BBQ, before leaving for their onward flight or to be checked into a Mount Meru hotel for one final night* of relaxation before flying out from Kilimanjaro international airport  the next day.
